mcpnav API
Free, static JSON exports of mcpnav's MCP server directory. No key, no rate limit beyond normal fair use, and CORS is enabled on every endpoint below. Data is generated at 2026-09-24T05:32:19.918015+00:00 and currently covers 5,954 servers — see About & data sources for what "indexable" means and which licenses apply.
Endpoints
/api/v1/servers.json— All indexable servers, field-whitelisted, with the license block./api/v1/servers/<slug>.json— A single server record, same fields as servers.json./api/v1/search-index.json— Compact per-server index (slug/name/description/group/stars/url)./api/v1/groups.json— The 15 category groups with indexable counts./api/v1/topics.json— punkpeye topic taxonomy with indexable counts./api/v1/remote-status.json— Reachability probe results for indexable remote endpoints./api/v1/license.json— Full license text and terms for every upstream data source.
License
Every file above embeds a license block naming its upstream sources and
their terms. In short: Official MCP Registry data is CC0 (public domain);
punkpeye/awesome-mcp-servers and wong2/awesome-mcp-servers data is MIT-licensed (full
text in /api/v1/license.json and inlined in servers.json);
GitHub repository metadata (stars, language, license, pushed_at, archived only —
never the repository's own description or homepage) is used per GitHub's Terms of
Service and Acceptable Use Policies. mcpnav's own added fields (group, quality,
remote_status, generated_at) are offered under CC BY 4.0.
